About the Studio
Woodrow Architects was founded in 2014 (Registered as a Ltd company in England and Wales in 2015) by George Woodrow, an RIBA & RIAS Chartered Architect with a diverse background in practice, having worked in a variety of project sectors for practices both large and small.
Experience with leading architectural practices include those of Sir Nicholas Grimshaw as well as Sir Michael Hopkins, where George qualified whilst working on the detailed design and construction of the flagship Brent Civic Centre in Wembley. Whilst at Hopkins he also gained valuable skills working on planning permissions for projects located on historical and environmentally sensitive sites.
The studio offers full Architectural Services from Feasibility and Concept, through Planning and Detailed Design, to Tendering and on site Contract Administration. Since forming the studio has completed many projects both in urban and rural settings, including work on sensitive listed buildings and those on tight and constrained sites.
Current Projects include the modern glass and timber extension to a stone house in the Cotswolds; the renovation and extension to a large detached house in Walton-on-Thames and work to houses in Acton, Hampton Hill, Hammersmith, Barnet, Leytonstone and Richmond.
The studios approach is both innovative and contextual seeking to provide clients with modern, yet sensitive, design solutions no matter the complexities of their site, spatial and functional requirements.
