About the Studio
Woodrow Architects was founded in 2014 (Registered as a Ltd company in England and Wales in 2015) by George Woodrow, an RIBA & RIAS Chartered Architect with a diverse background in practice, having worked in a variety of project sectors for practices both large and small.
Experience with leading architectural practices include those of Sir Nicholas Grimshaw as well as Sir Michael Hopkins, where George qualified whilst working on the detailed design and construction of the flagship Brent Civic Centre in Wembley, pictured below. Whilst at Hopkins he also gained valuable skills working on planning permissions for projects located on historical and environmentally sensitive sites.
The studio offers full Architectural Services from Feasibility and Concept, through Planning and Detailed Design, to Tendering and on site Contract Administration. Since forming the studio has completed projects that include alterations to a Grade II Listed barn in East Sussex, the renovations of properties in Victoria, Ravenscourt Park, Shepherds Bush and the extensions of properties in Queens Park, Ealing & Wimbledon.
Current Projects include the restoration of a Listed coach house on the West Coast of Scotland, a new farmers house in the Cotswolds and work to private properties in Islington, Kensington, Richmond & Brockley.
The studios approach is both innovative and contextual seeking to provide clients with modern, yet sensitive, design solutions no matter the complexities of their site, spatial and functional requirements.
